About
Kamara has spent the last decade cultivating her artistic practice, working across a range of mediums and developing a distinct creative voice. During the pandemic, she deepened her intellectual and artistic interests through extensive reading, which further shaped her understanding of visual culture and historical representation. The intersection of her passion for history and art ultimately led her to clothing design and historical recreation.
She is a costume designer and dedicated student of history, specializing in the reconstruction of late Medieval, Baroque, and Renaissance garments. Her exceptional attention to detail, craftsmanship, and commitment to historically grounded materials and methods result in work that is both stylistically striking and rigorously authentic.
Kamara is currently pursuing a degree in History and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Southern California.
